General terms

Membership is valid from the day you register as a member until end of the year for which you paid a membership fee.

Membership is valid from the day you register as a member until 31 January next year. Insurance is activated the day after you register (at 00:01). Existing members of the Alpine Association of Slovenia that renew their membership until 31 January are insured without any interruptions. Insurance for search & rescue operations and medical treatment abroad is valid until 31 December and is renewed upon the payment of next year’s membership fee. Insurance of new and existing members that pay the membership fee after 1 February is activated the day after they register (at 00:01).

Family discount (20 %) applies to all family members (except for categories A and B1) if the membership fees of all family members are paid at the same time. Discounts for A membership is the same as for the B category. Applicable family members are parents and their children up to 26 years of age who are unemployed or have no personal income. For the purposes of our membership, a family is defined as a mother, father, and children, or a single mother or father with at least one child. It is not possible to take family discount for two adult persons, regardless on their formal legal and social status.

You can pay your membership fee with various cards (Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, Visa-Electro, and Karanta), via Paypal or VALÚ.

The registration consists of three steps: a) Fill out the application form. b) Pay the registration fee. c) After the process is complete, you’ll receive a notification about the successful registration on your email address. After the registration, you'll receive your membership stamp indicating your membership category for the current year. The delivery fee (€ 2) is paid by the member. Your membership card will be sent to the address you’ve provided. Delivery times vary between countries (two to three weeks for deliveries in Europe, even more for third countries). Until you get a membership stamp (new members also card), you can use the discount in mountain huts by submitting an invoice or confirmation electronic notification.

Membership card may be send to place where you will be staying upon your arrival in Slovenia (hostel, hotel, camp, apartma, …). If you agree, please report the title of the accommodation and its address. Do not forget to write full name of accomodation and your name as well in the enrollment form. Please also warn the reception or owner of the accomodation about the delivery.

Individuals who pay the membership fee at Petrol service stations receive a receipt with a confirmation from at the end where they enter their personal data. With the completed form, the individual is entitled to a the membership discount for accommodation in Slovenian mountain huts for 14 days. The insurance, which is included in the membership fee, is activated by entering the member's information into the form on the website membership.pzs.si. Enrollment on Petrol service stations is possible till 30. September.
